What is the Jobs Module?

Referrals are one of the best ways to get customers that are faster and easier to close since they know you provided quality work for someone else. You may always be fortunate enough to have a previous customer refer you, which is why it's critical to showcase the work you have done in each town and for a variety of services so customers can examples of your work.

The Jobs module asks just a few simple questions:

  1. Name or Description: Most use first name and last initial or company name. For those not comfortable with that, you could also put the subject.
  2. Location: Include the city and state to optimize for that location. Once you sav the page, these will auto-populate on that city page.
  3. Date: You can use the date you started or finished the job. The best guess is fine.
  4. Why did the customer contact you? A brief 1 sentence explanation will suffice.
  5. What solutions did you provide? This is an opportunity to utilize keywords that people might type to search for your services. Think of the first few words people use on a phone call or contact form and use these to help optimize the site.
  6. Tags: We have preloaded tags on your site (or can add more) and have added these to the content pages as well. Once you add the tag(s) to the job, it will optimize those content pages as well.
  7. Images: these are optional but images are golden! Add before or after photos, photos with the client, or any other visuals that draw their attention to the job.

What Else Can You Do With Jobs

Owners are always asking us for "simple" things they can do to enhance their site. That's the cool part about the Jobs module. One job optimizes a minimum of THREE to FOUR locations with just one Job.

  • Complete Jobs - Under About Us
  • City pages
  • Meet the Team - tag a team member to add it to their profile
  • And Most importantly - CONTENT PAGES. Any content pages with the same tag you add to the Job will automatically add the job to the bottom of that page.

The Jobs module also creates a unique page and URL so you can also post a summary and link on your Google Business profile to optimize it as well.

Why are these important?

When you add new content to a page, Google and other search engines have to go in and re-index the page. When Google sees new/fresh content, they have to re-crawl the page which can help it rank better. The nice part about the Jobs module is that it is so simple that anyone with access to the CRM can enter these. It's a great job for your receptionist or call takers to do when they have downtime.
