During the Galaxy SEO meeting on Thursday, March 20th, Mahbub and Steve were given Texas Rangers opening day tickets for the Texas Rangers game on March 31st, 2014 against the Philadelphia Phillies. Steve and Mahbub met up with Jeannette and Rebecca from Dalworth Restoration & Dalworth Rug Cleaning to all sit together at the game. With over 49 thousand fans present, the game was completely sold out! The National Anthem was majestically played by the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra before the dynamic ceremonial first pitch was thrown by Greg Maddux. Just after 1 p.m., the exciting opening day game batted off to a sea of delighted baseball fans from throughout the US.
The seats were fantastically situated behind home plate under the first balcony on the third base side, with clear views of all the action. Tanner Scheppers, the starting pitcher, pitched well for the first inning; but, despite his best efforts, he began giving up runs and points. There was lots of rooting and roars of cheers for the Rangers from all four friends in the Dalworth seats. Sometime around the seventh inning, a foul ball flew just out of reach and over their seats to the balcony directly above them. The Rangers eventually lost to the Phillies in this surprisingly high scoring and entertaining game, (Phillies 14, Rangers 10). Due to the great excitement and action of the game, with so many thrilling hits and runs, it was a decidedly fun day for all!
